The world’s busiest suspension bridge spans the Hudson River and carries over 103 million vehicles per year. Designed by an international team of architects, the UN is an international zone with its own fire department and postal service. We happily operate 364 days a year from our Midtown location! Our Downtown location operates the 50 minute Liberty Super Express cruise and Statue at Sunset cruise only.
Food & Dining
Subway and bus fares are $2 per ride, but rush hour travel is crowded. The Downtown Connection offers a free hop-on, hop-off bus service between South Street Seaport and northern Battery Park City. The New York Cruise Terminal is a 15- to 20-minute walk to Midtown. Besides taxis, there are buses at 49th, 50th and 42nd streets, but there is no subway service from the port. If the taxi queue is long, cross 12th Avenue to hail a cab. A city of endless possibilities, high energy and great diversity, New York has always been the benchmark for first-rate dining, unparalleled shopping and cultural activity.
Landmarks
Let the allure of the Empire State set the tone for your cruise adventure. The NYC sunset sailing with wine tasting gives you the chance to gaze out as the sun drops below Manhattan, seeing NYC’s biggest landmarks (including the Statue of Liberty) all lit up in a golden glow. And to top it all off, you’re on a luxurious sailing boat, which is equipped, crucially, with a full bar. Enjoy a guided tour with spectacular views of the NYC skyline and harbor and dozens of landmarks along the way. Sit back, relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the NYC skyline and the Statue of Liberty while our award winning tour guides narrate every detail along your route. See the most famous NYC landmarks on both the Hudson and East Rivers, plus breathtaking views of Manhattan’s downtown skyline.
Brooklyn Bridge
Play basketball, go shopping or spend your time at the casino, pools or spa. Or eat and drink your way across more than a dozen bars and restaurants, including an interactive Le Petit Chef dining experience. These seven-night roundtrip sailings depart from Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey, making it especially easy to combine a visit to the Statue of Liberty with your cruise. Both large cruise ships and a few smaller ships cruise from New York, giving you the option to pick a vessel with lots of restaurants and lounges, or one that’s cozier with fewer dining options. A variety of cruise lines—including Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Holland America, Disney, Cunard, Silversea, Oceania Cruises, and Viking—sail from New York City. The Brooklyn cruise port is a 15-minute drive from Brooklyn Bridge Park, which offers some of the best views of downtown Manhattan.
For visitors, it's an exciting city and, at times, is more than a little intimidating. New York natives always seem to be in a hurry, but with midtown traffic often at a complete standstill, it may be faster for them to walk across town than to take a bus. When you hear a foreign language, it could be international tourists -- flocking to the city in droves because of the weak dollar -- or it could be a New Yorker.
Buses operate 24/7, though service is less frequent late at night. Some buses are marked "Limited" which means they will only stop at major cross streets (i.e., 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd) rather than every two or three blocks. All buses require exact change in coins or a swipe of your MetroCard.
There’s plenty of precedent to think she’ll be getting an extravagant gift. He’s certainly been generous with costars on their big days. Dakota Fanning recently told Harper’s Bazaar that Cruise has been getting her birthday gifts every year since they costarred in War of the Worlds in 2005, when she was just 11 years old.
On its Mediterranean sailing, the cruise stops in Lisbon, Malaga, Barcelona, Cannes, and Rome. Hop on the Seabourn Quest in October for an unforgettable journey through the colors of autumn. Spend a gorgeous fall day in Central Park before setting sail from New York to Montréal by way of Martha's Vineyard, Boston, Halifax, and Prince Edward Island on a 12-day itinerary along the eastern seaboard.
Our most famous cruise and the only sightseeing experience that completely circles the island of Manhattan. If I had to recommend a cruise in New York City right now, it’d be the Champagne City Lights Cruise and the Day Sail to the Statue of Liberty (so awesome!!!). On these tours, you’ll get to enjoy all the views you could wish for. Seemingly all cruise operators in New York City are back on the water, giving you plenty of options to relax on a boat and enjoy mesmerizing views while maybe even sipping cocktails and eating cheese.

There can be heavy traffic into the city from Queens and Brooklyn. So, depending on the time you’re traveling, taking the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) from JFK to New York’s Penn Station and then a 10-minute cab ride to the Manhattan cruise port may be faster. Note that passengers will not be able to drop off luggage at the Manhattan cruise terminal before parking their vehicle, as they’ll have to exit the terminal to park. Extend your cruise vacation, and simplify your travel plans with a hotel stay at the beginning or end of your cruise.

Sit back and relax as the crew guides the restored 1929 sailboat out into the harbor. If you’re lucky, the captain will even let you take a turn at the helm. Put your purse away, because the Staten Island Ferry is totally free. That's right, in one of the most expensive cities in the world, you can find a free ride. This old chugger has been going since before any bridges were built, transporting folks from the 'burbs to Manhattan in 25 minutes. Boats leave South Ferry at Battery Park and run 24 hours a day.
Native American groups have lived in the area now known as New York for thousands of years, and European settlement of the area didn’t begin until the 15th century. In the 1600s, the Dutch West India Company began a colony called “New Amsterdam” and expanded their living quarters into what we know now as Manhattan. The local population boomed, and the New Amsterdam area became known as a trade hub between the Dutch, Europeans, and the New World. By the mid-1600s, the British took control and kept it until after the Revolutionary War.

Central Park is one of the largest parks in a metropolitan area. Comprised of over a mile of green space and walking trails, it offers a killer view of lower Manhattan from certain vistas.
